Troy A. Schell
Troy Schell started the Law Firm of Troy A. Schell in 2017 after nearly two decades working in a Civil Defense Firm and as in-house counsel.
Prior to starting his own firm. Mr. Schell was General Counsel for Prime Healthcare Management, Inc., since 2009, which owns and operates 45 hospitals throughout the Country. His work included acquisition nearly two dozen hospitals, physician contracting, formation and maintenance of corporate entities and affiliated entities including hospitals and medical groups. Mr. Schell also participated in several arbitrations, trials and administrative hearings as lead counsel.
Previously, Mr. Schell served as Vice President and General Counsel for Antelope Valley Hospital. During his tenure, he was responsible for all legal issues for the 422 Acute Bed hospital including litigation, regulatory, insurance, compliance and business relations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Schell served as a litigation attorney for law firms specializing in complex civil litigation and the defense of healthcare providers in civil and administrative proceedings. Additionally, Mr. Schell has lectured to hospitals and physician organizations including EMTALA, documentation, informed consent and advance healthcare directives.
Mr. Schell received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History from the University of Arizona in 1997. He received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2000 and is a current member of the California State Bar.
